The Harlow’s annual Silent Art Auction returns February 13-16, 2019 (snow date February 17.) Expect great deals on an exciting variety of art and artful objects that have been generously donated by local collectors, artists, and fine craftsmen. The Silent Auction offers a diverse selection of contemporary and vintage art, fine craft, sculpture, artifacts, artful objects, and more.
The Harlow presents “50 Years of Art”, a retrospective exhibition highlighting the work of local artist and art educator Barbara Loken. 50 Years of Art is on view February 15-March 23, 2019 at 100 Water Street in Hallowell. An opening reception featuring live music performed by the artist will be held on Friday, February 15, 5-7pm.
Registration is now open for February and March art workshops at The Harlow, 100 Water Street in Hallowell. Register today and try something new or expand on existing skills.The lineup of classes includes wood carving, watercolor, mosaics, and ceramics.

The Harlow invites artists to submit artwork to Art2019, the 24th annual juried show and second annual juried show to be held at their new location, 100 Water Street in Hallowell. Art2019 will be on view May 10-June 15, 2019 and an opening reception will be held on Friday, May 10 from 5-7 with an awards ceremony at 6pm. Art2019 is open to all Maine artists and to any artist with a strong connection to Maine. This year’s juror is Myron M. Beasley, Ph.D., a professor at Bates College, artist writer, and international curator. The deadline for electronic submissions is 11:59pm on April 1, 2019.
