Ground breaking ceremonies for the new Kennebec Ice Arena were held this week.  The new arena, replacing the building that collapsed last winter due to snow accumulation on the roof, is being built in partnership with Bank of Maine and will be called The Bank of Maine Ice Vault.  The much anticipated facility is scheduled to open this summer.
